February 2009

Yes folks once again it’s open mike. Come out & join us at the Round Street Cafe on Wednesday February 18th, 2009, at 7:30 pm. in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada.┬áIf you are a member of Most Vocal please show up at 7:00 pm so you can cast your vote on who our new secretary & treasurer will be.

If you don’t have anything of your own to read bring the work of someone else. Anything goes within reason.

I am planning on going to Israel in March for 2 weeks, but I might have a criminal record. What I did was one night I got drunk & planned to go crash at a friend’s place. Anyhow before I got there I blacked out & ended up going into the wrong house. The police found me in the kitchen singing country songs while trying to take off my cowboy boots. The owners of the house were terrified for obvious reasons as I’m sure I would be. Anyways the police hauled me downtown & when I sobered up I went to see the Justice of the Peace & he or she told me I had been charged with “being in a house dwelling”. I then was released & later on got a lawyer from Legal Aid. When my day in court came I ended up getting probation & a year long suspended sentence. I finished my probation without a hitch & thought that that was the end of it. That happened back in 1991 or 1992. Now what I want to know is has my record been cleared like they said it would be & am I free to travel internationally( & yes incase you wondered my passport expires in July 2010)? Anyone who knows the answer I would be glad to hear from & yes that even includes you Omega (if you guys need an actor to play bad guy in your excercises I’d do that as repayment), I know you’re out there somewhere, I can smell you! Lol!

Almost forgot today I went to the Lethbridge police department & paid them to do a criminal record check that could take anywhere from 4 days to a month.

As an incentive for the right answer whoever comes up with it first I will send you a copy of my poetry chapbook “Outlaw” which makes for a nice little read. It was produced back in 2003, but has some pieces that are timeless.

Well what can I say? I am playing guitar more often now than I have been in the past few years. The notes when I play them have a lot more feeling than they used too. It’s all a part of getting better I guess. When I first started out back in the 90’s I was just playing chords. Now I am playing feelings if that makes any sense. Well, I guess it does if you are a musician. Anyhow that’s it for now.
