It’s getting darker earlier & earlier every night, Autumn is on it’s way. This is my favourite time of year. Currently I am looking for work. I am hoping to find a cooking job somewhere & if not that something else. I had an interview today & it went okay, they are gonna’ check out my references & where I’ve worked previously & with a little bit of luck they will contact me for a second more in-depth interview. I haven’t been doing much artistically I am hoping that will change soon. Anyhow I thought I’d just make a short post. In the picture I’ve added to this post is a drawing I made back in the 90’s when I was writing “The Continuing Adventures Of Space Cowboy” & Mocking Bird was a character often in it. I drew this picture of her in her gear. Some of it has already been invented & some has not. Maybe one day I will return to writing more.
It’s been so long since I’ve been anywhere other than Lethy. The seasons are changing & soon it will be fall my favourite time of year. I never believed in Global warming until this year & we are more than likely doomed. I need to find some sort of work soon or I will soon be dipping into my meagre reserves. It would be awesome if someone in some country other than Canada & the US booked me for a bunch of readings. I can only be gone for 2 weeks. But in 2 weeks I could cover a lot of ground in a single country. Book 1 is mainly about me growing up & in book 2 you get to see how kooky Canada can get. Or if you’ve been a long time reader here you will know what I mean. Despite the weirdness Canada is hard to beat for all her beauty. I love Alberta especially it’s my adopted province I was born in Manitoba. In the upcoming election I hope people give someone else the chance to run this country. I am not a fan of the Trudeau government.
I’ve finally got around to applying for a passport & it should be ready by early September. Instead of reading my posts why not book me & I can come & read for you from either “Outlaw” my chapbook of poetry or from “Bears Falling From Trees With Erections” my book or both. I can play guitar as well. I have forgotten all of my old songs except for one which is called “Space Cowboy”.
Canada & the US are okay, actually not the US last time I tried to cross the border they turned me around. The rest of the world though would be awesome. Maybe we could work out some details like instead of paying me X amount of dollars you put that towards my airplane ticket. If you get enough people like say from some libraries or some other thing that are within the same country that would make things easier. What I’d also need though is some place to crash & a good meal. Anyhow if you are interested in something like this leave a comment & we could start trying to work something out.
